Maggie's Story
Maggie is a redhead with sensitive skin. After her second child was born, she decided to stay home with her kids and work part-time cleaning homes. Within a few months, she started having skin problems.
The first thing she noticed was an irritation on her left hand below her wedding ring. She had just added an anniversary band to her ring, so she assumed the solder was causing the reaction. Next, she started experiencing dry, itchy eyes, which she chalked up to a recent eye surgery. Eventually, her skin sensitivities became so extreme, she had to quit wearing mascara, cosmetics, or any kind of scented lotion.
About the same time, Maggie's daughter was diagnosed with allergies. As Maggie researched possible causes, she discovered scary information about the cleaners she was using. Not only were they filling her air with harmful toxins (not good for her daughter's allergies), but they were also exposing her skin to harsh chemicals. To see if it was the cleaners that were making her sick, she stopped using them. Before she knew it, her skin cleared.
Healthy skin vs dirty house
Though Maggie's skin felt better, she missed the cleaning power of her old products. As a housecleaner, she needed to get in and out of homes quickly. So, she wanted a product that could cut through grease and dirt better than the other natural cleaners she tried.
That's when she decided to create her own.
She joined forces with her sister in law and developed simplyneutral—a line of natural cleaners that was gentle enough for people with asthma, allergies, and multiple chemical sensitivities, yet kicked butt on household dirt.
